Adults and Youth Ages 16+

Come get fit while enjoying nature and the outdoors. Celebrate Earth Month in a healthy way! All experience levels welcome to join us in this unique outdoor workout that will challenge you and rejuvenate you at the same time! Min 3 / Max 10

What to bring: towel, water bottle, and motivation to kick butt!

Sloth Army Running Club
Running Meet-Up

For those of us who hate running but want to get a great and quick cardio workout. Join the Sloth Army – marathoners need not apply. We’ll trudge along some of the beautiful trails in Whidbey’s Parks, having fun. We’re running. We’re slower than a herd of sloths stampeding through peanut butter, but we are running! Min 2/Max 10

Adult Recess

Why should kids get to have all the fun playing outdoors?! It’s time for adults to have recess of their own. This adults-only workout will have us wondering why we ever thought exercise was boring. Learn how to have fun and make your workout a game rather than a chore. Min 2/Max 10

Open Water Swim Clinics
Swim in your own backyard!
Adults

The open water presents unique challenges over swimming in a pool, and is a delightful experience when safely managed. Whether you are a new swimmer, a triathlete, or interested in endurance swimming, come learn techniques or refresh your skills. Participants should know how to swim. The lake clinic may be of interest to those preparing for the Whidbey Triathlon. The saltwater clinic is ideal for stronger swimmers. Min 4/Max 10

Course topics include:
• Sighting Techniques  • Starts, Finishes & Turns  • Pacing for open water  • Breathing Techniques  • Swimming Safety  • Training & Fueling  • Open Water Swim Gear  • Wetsuits 101: sizing, choosing, putting on  • Currents & Tides, Weather & Critters  • ‘Getting Past the Panic’

Bring: Wetsuit (optional for lake), swim cap, goggles, ear plugs, towel.

Instructors: The team is comprised of experienced open water USA Masters swimmers Chad Martin & Jeff Jacobsen. No certified lifeguards will be on duty. info@swpaf.org
