Nature Camps with Whidbey Watershed Stewards

Join Whidbey Watershed Stewards for these fun nature camps.

The weekday summer camps instructed by the Whidbey Watershed Stewards seek to bolster wilderness confidence through engaging, hands-on experiences with and within forest ecosystems. Activities and lessons will connect individuals to their natural surroundings, and foster a sense of self-assurance that will encourage further outdoor enthusiasm, exploration and play. The camp will be held over two, non-consecutive weeks throughout July and August of 2024. Each session will target a different age group, and provide specific lessons and instruction tailored to their capabilities and interests. Community engagement will be fostered through expert talks and activities, creating outreach and connection among island residents. Students will create various crafts and projects connected to lesson topics, gain valuable knowledge pertaining to the forest, and receive a packet of further activities and reading lists to build upon their camp experience.
