Music Camp

Summer Music Instruction

AGES 5-12*

Learn the basics of your choice of these instruments: violin, piano, xylophone, cello, viola, guitar, banjo, autoharp & others by permission. Indicate your preference at registration. Open to beginners and intermediates.

Bring: Pack a lunch/snack. Bring your instrument of choice (rentals available).

Instructor: Taught by Linda Good, of Island Strings with a couple of special guests. Linda has her M.A. in Music (Ethnomusicology) and teaches Suzuki method.

Location: SWPRD Building, Room 111

Mon-Thu* | June 20-23* | 9am–1pm | $100 per family*

*Instrument rental is an additional $10 for the duration of camp (plus the parade). Parents are encouraged to participate too!



Spring Break Introduction to Strings


SESSIONS FOR AGES 4-10 (Parents are encouraged to participate too!)

Students can learn some basics on instruments taught by Linda Good, including violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, recorder, and autoharp and singing.  Weather permitting we’ll have outdoor activities, such as songs for hiking on the trails, and finding fun items related to music.  We’ll learn how to avoid nettles, and share what we know about nature.  On the final day we’ll share some of what we’ve learned with parents and friends.

*Instrument rental is an additional $10 per participant, paid directly to the instructor on the first day.
