SOUTH WHIDBEY TRIATHLON
After 29 years of hosting the South Whidbey Triathlon, South Whidbey Parks & Recreation has made the difficult decision to step away from sponsoring this event. This decision was not made lightly, as we know the triathlon has been a cherished tradition for athletes and our community.
We deeply value the spirit and camaraderie this race has brought to South Whidbey, and we want to see it continue. To that end, we have reached out to several race organizers to explore opportunities for them to take the lead in keeping the triathlon alive. Our hope is that a new host will step forward so this beloved event can carry on for years to come.
We will share updates as soon as we know more. Thank you for your understanding and for being part of the South Whidbey Triathlon family.

ABOUT THE SOUTH WHIDBEY TRIATHLON
This scenic course starts with a 0.5 mile swim in beautiful Goss Lake. Leaving the lake, you’ll begin the 19 mile bike ride on paved country roads. The bike course is hilly with views of Saratoga Passage and the North Cascades. Finish with a 3.75 mile run on the Park trail system. One long winding loop, the woodsy course is on clean, clear trails and grass fields.
