Challenge your household members to a slug race!
Competitors each gather a champion slug (preferably carefully plucked from your prize winning garden), place them in the center circle and kick off the race. The first slug to the outer circle is the winner!
Make your race as complicated or simple as you want. Optional:
- Name your slug
- Challenge another household
- Expand to a snail or rolly polly division
- Add obstacles
- Be prepared for a photo/video finish
- Enjoy post race refreshments – gardeners know the slug’s favorite beverage.
We’d love to see videos and photos of the action on our Facebook page.
Competitive much? If you feel like competing virtually against other slug racers, join the Facebook event. Create a course with an 11″ exterior finish circle and a 3″ interior start circle (math moments!), and time your sluggo. Post results and photos to Facebook by 5:30pm Saturday, May 9.
